I have been working on an entry for Val d'Argent. It is still not finished yet, but I am getting there!

SHAPE and pattern recording

Today I finally found time to do some coursework again. I have added pictures of texture and shape. I have chosen a small piece of barbwire as shape.

Barbwire; string glued down on wallpaper, snippets of string sprinkled on top.



1. wallstructure, close-up. gessoed cotton batting with snippets of gessoed cotton and crushed shells on top.

same wall structure. Top right: 3 layers of Tyvek stithced together, cut and subsequently ironed to melt away.


Another wall. torn wallpaper with thick layer of gesso

Ornament. Paper solvy molded on cardstock.


Flowerbuds and stems. Buds: crushed teabags glued down (top) , dots of glue (middle) and stems made of pieces of glued down string

Roof structure. Rolled paperbeads glued down and gessoed over.

Balcony

I have added another layer to the balcony. I stitched echoing lines on transparent paper .
